If you’ve ever been on the internet, you know the #1 way to turn a normal thing into an amazing thing is to add cats. Semi-funny joke not completely landing? Add a cat. Musical number almost the best thing ever? Play it with a video of a cat playing keyboard. Pretty outdoor scene missing something? It’s a cat.
Catfé – an in-the-works community sanctuary in Vancouver that is equal parts café and cat foster home – realized that while yoga was fun and peaceful, it needed a little something to take it over the edge into straight-up delightful. Together with Stretch Yoga, they created “Cats on Your Mats,” a fundraising event for the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA).
While participants did their best to focus on the task at hand – stretching their way through yoga poses – eight featured felines roamed the class, providing snuggles and what was assuredly valuable feedback. The two “Cats on your Mats” fundraiser events scheduled for January 2016 are already sold out, but you can get your fill of the cutest yoga class of all time with the video:
